Exclusive: U.S. set to sanction Turkey over Russian defense system - sources
The United States is poised to impose sanctions on Turkey over its acquisition last year of Russian S-400 air defense systems, five sources including three U.S. officials told Reuters on Thursday, a move likely to worsen already problematic ties between the two NATO allies.

Syrian fighters backed by Turkey waged battles on Friday against Kurdish forces near the town of Ain Issa in northern Syria, where Russian and Turkish troops jointly patrol a key highway.

European Court of Human Rights says Turkey must free Demirtas
The European Court of Human Rights ruled on Tuesday that Turkey must immediately release prominent Kurdish politician Selahattin Demirtas, saying the justification for his four years in prison was a cover for limiting pluralism and debate.

Turkey says militants executed 13, including soldiers, police, in Iraq
Militants of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) have executed 13 kidnapped Turks, including military and police personnel, in a cave in northern Iraq, Turkish officials said on Sunday, amid a military operation against the group.

These are wars without end , the Turks have the far more superior military but are unable to bring their power to bear on a group who know their terrain like the back of their hand , this is like so many counter insurgency wars going to go on and on until both sides agree to meet some of the terms of the other .
I am sure for Erdogan such killings he sees as an advantage and tool to allow him to continue this battle until the day comes (as they always do) that Erdogan is out of power and a new head see's advantage in peace rather than an endless conflict there is nothing to do

It appears that the Turkish army messed up and in effort to pass the buck blamed the PKK
Slighty off topic the Israeli security services have just busted a Turkish operation to supply illicit funds to Hamas , last month they interecepted $4 million in cash from Iran for weapon development
