He was only detained for an hour or so, not arrested. *They said that they had to establish proof that he was a journalist, even though he had his credential badge hanging quite evident. His crew was mostly of people of color, but the other CNN crew that consisted of a white team, were treated most politely by the police, even though they were filming the same kinds of things.
