Well, we know Trump certainly won't.

Why would Trump own, what Biden/Harris have chosen to do in Afghanistan?

Trump set it in motion.
He "brokered the deal" that released 5000 Taliban fighters.
This failure is a group effort. From Bush to Biden and everyone in between.

Well, both Trump and Biden have. Trump didn't realize he was stepping in it (again), but was bragging that not only did he design the withdraw from Afghanistan, but (as he continued to brag) he did it in a way that Biden couldn't stop it.
Biden has many times, accepted the responsibility and continues to do so.

Because when he did own it, he didn't think his unstoppable plan would be unpopular: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URf8gAdrDTk&t=27s

No, Trump did not set what Biden decided to do in motion. Trump's plan was nothing like what Biden has done; Biden left thousands of Americans behind, and left vital data at the embassy in the hands of the Taliban, along with the military cache.

I'm not disputing that Biden colossally fucked this up!
He did.
And there needs to be a commission on ALL the failures.
For example - where were the State Department appointees responsible for overseeing the evacuation?
Oh right. Their appointments are being blocked by Ted Cruz.

Well, well well, you didn't get it from any previous administration, besides Biden's, that it was an undeclared war that could not be won, and too many lives were lost.
(sorry to the esteemed Bellafonte):
Hey Mister Taliban, tally my Americans,
Daylight come and I want to go home.

Quite sure that Trump did everything that he could to landmine any exodus from Afghanistan, because he actually knew he couldn't pull off a coup, and had done everything in his power to throw a glitch in the withdrawal. Not giving a damn about the people who are/were there.
His presidency was all buffoonery and snake oil. Some of the populace bought it, and were poisoned, the elites lined their pockets, and got their portfolios expanded. Meanwhile... (Colbert fans), meanwhile, the middle class is waking up.
