In the over 500 attacks on Syrian/ Iranian / Hezbollah forces we have lost one plane to engine failure and it got home and so far each and every designated target has been destroyed - NONE of this would be possible without the assistance of the Russians either overtly or covertly who apparently have been facing the wrong way each time every time

Ten years into Syria's conflict, President Bashar al-Assad has survived the bloody insurgency which started out with peaceful protests in March 2011.

Until Putin has no further need of him then Assad will continue , it is always possible we can get him if we really wanted him but I am guessing he devil we know is better than the alternative

It's hard to imagine life in a war zone, until your home becomes one. For the past decade, this has been the reality for millions of Syrians.

This is a multi fronted conflict with multiple groups multiple major forces and all with differing visions on what they want ,
The loser has been Syria , my only visit was back in 1973 as we headed into Syria and pushed towards Damascus that visit was enough for me .
Assad will survive until he Putin decided he has no longer any use for him , I am sure most of the Major Intel agencies have the ability to finish Assad if given the go ahead that has not been given because for the moment the devil they know etc
Assad is a tyrant of the very worst type , he has allowed and promoted the utter destruction of his country to retain his wealth and power and with every death he has on his hands so he has condemned his entire family to certain gruesome death at sometime in the not too distant future
Berry is an avid supporter of Assad FYI

Further to my mail of yesterday it appears that my information is correct and that Hezbollah are either reading my posts or they also know that Putin is recalibrating where he wants to be in Syria Hezbollah worries Russia is pushing regime change in Syria - www.israelhayom.com
Putin will not support Assad with an open ended account ,he will possibly have one eye on the USA where a deal in removing Assad would sit well with Biden who in turn would ease sanctions on Russia
Assad is on a very short rope

Assad as bad as he is portrayed is better than the alternative IMO.
What is it about nation sovereignty that America doesn't 'get'? We have a history of butting into other nations' business. What in the world is the United Nations for I wonder?
Early on in American history we learn that it was the idea of MANIFEST DESTINY that started it all...in the name of Christianity...spreading The Word.

IF Pres. Biden was smart he would leave well-enough alone in Syria. It was the administration of Obama/Biden that first got us involved in Syria. Sanctions didn't work. Our CIA tried and failed to unseat Assad. And then we got Trump who campaigned on getting us out of Syria. Instead He made matters worse. And now apparently We own Syria's oil...or so said Trump.
And on it goes. Will Biden finally extract us out of Syria?
I wouldn't bet on it.
Assad or The Alternative? Which? And WHO?

The day Obama set his line in the sand and then allowed the Syrians to cross it was the day the US ceased to have the power to command in the region , it was that defining moment that allowed the Russians to reappear and as they are now the major power in Syria .
In the last few days Iranian proxies have attacked the US forces in Iraq 2 - 3 times and Biden has done nothing
