Those Haitians were not being 'whipped'. What the cowboys were using was ropes...like all cowboys use...the migrants were being 'herded' to stay where they were supposed to B. The cowboys know the cameras R always snapping away so they R careful about IMAGE.
What I found more interesting about all of that Del Rio story was this: All of a sudden in ONE DAY all of those migrants were gone and the bulldozers came in to sweep clean every vestige of garbage and humans away.
WHO made that decision? And where did all those thousands of people go?
Rumor has it that there R 6,000 more on their way. True? I would guess that Myorkas & Biden R even as we speak stopping THEM somewhere B4 They can get here...that Rio Grande river is cold in winter and the river is high. Just sayin'

You can whip someone with a rope. You can whip someone with a towel! The fact that it was not an actual whip is not the point. Reins or rope were used as whips to coral humans in a field.

Exactly. They were treated like cattle. Or property.
Hence the throwback image to life on the plantation.

Most were huddled under a bridge.

Or, why didn't the check point at the border disallow their entry into the US? Were they traveling without passport?
Even Syrians entering Norway from Russia had to have passports.

Nissy, sorry to barge in on your conversation with Jenifer, but I don't understand your question. They were not arriving at a checkpoint. They were stampeding across the Rio Grande River trying to crash their way into the US without any papers, much less a passport. We're talking more than 100,000 migrants pushing their way illegally into the US between border checkpoints just in September alone; more than 1,00,000 in 2021. The Border Agents are so overwhelmed they are now simply putting the migrants (we're not allowed to use the word "illegal" anymore) on buses and sending them to wherever NGO's can house, feed and educate them, all at the expense of the American taxpayer. How do you think the citizens of Norway would feel about that.
Here is a link to a report from the NY Post, hardly a conservative outlet: https://nypost.com/2021/07/15/data-shows-illegal-us-border-crossings-on-pace-to-top-1m-this-month/

Well, they were certainly huddled under a bridge, all 15,000 of them BEFORE the night you're speaking of. Here is an article from NBC News explaining how the mess was cleaned up. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/migrants-have-been-cleared-under-del-rio-bridge-mayorkas-says-n1280055

Besides I think those border cowboys know full well that cameras R at the ready all the time, by the media as well as the migrants.

The US is not a banana republic, yet.
I actually knew a federal agent in Arizona who worked the border but not for immigration. He was investigating smuggling.
I have crossed the Texas-Mexico border about fifty times. I owned a business with a branch in Harlingen and I crossed the border as often as possible for tacos and other cuisine.
