I would suggest that the Iranian discussion has ever more relevance than a war 50 years ago in Asia which has no connection at all to the Global events unfolding.

What was - was and debating every syllable , comma and hyphen will not alter by one iota a thing , IRAN however is going to play into every living room around the Globe as it steadily heats up

you are quite wrong there. Any war, anywhere, this and last century's, are relevant in the present geopolitical situation. But it seems history is not your strong point.

I would disagree , the wars will be technically fought different on totally different terrains each with a different ideology.

Thankfully we will have you as a teacher phew

It seems your comprehension of a short sentence is as acute as your knowledge of history.

The U.S. military gave a top British general a public tongue-lashing Tuesday after he told reporters at the Pentagon that Iran does not pose a threat to coalition troops in the Middle East.

Maybe if the US listened to its allies (world experts on some matters) more there'd be less chaos and suffering in the world.

The US President says he hopes the country is not heading to war with Iran, after the Middle East state reportedly warned Iraqi militias to ready for conflict.

You do realise that we're in a 1914 or 1939 moment, where an aggressive government is about to launch unprovoked aggression on another sovereign state? Trump is far, far more unpredictable and irrational than the Kaiser or Hitler.

China and India (both nuclear armed) might be forced to protect their source of oil and Russia could very easily be drawn in.

Iran's retaliation will presumably be against Gulf oil installations and tankers.

Our supermarket shelves could be emptied and not re-filled for a generation.
