You do realise that we're in a 1914 or 1939 moment, where an aggressive government is about to launch unprovoked aggression on another sovereign state? Trump is far, far more unpredictable and irrational than the Kaiser or Hitler.

China and India (both nuclear armed) might be forced to protect their source of oil and Russia could very easily be drawn in.

Iran's retaliation will presumably be against Gulf oil installations and tankers.

Our supermarket shelves could be emptied and not re-filled for a generation.

I believe the bellicose words from both side will not result in war , Iran will not stand an iota of a chance and they know it , Trump for all his bluster also has no real need for a war he will ultimately succeed .

Iran is basing everything they do on the hope that come 2020 Trump will be removed from power - he wont and they will be by then so far into the corner that they will be facing a disaster as their society will cease to be able to fully function as their economy will have collapsed

Ships will stopped on the high seas , their ports today their highways and by ways are all under surveillance , from within and from without they are being silently and effectively bought to their knees
