Because as the song says, life is sacred.
In fact, if you think about it, it's the only way that America can survive. (That's likely true where you live in Asia as well. Or in Europe where you were born, or in Africa where Samantha has been, and where my wife's best friend lives, or in Australia where Jennifer lives. Hell, it's probably even true in Antarctica, although I don't know anybody from there.)
Like the song says, it's a total blessing to be born here in America.
And that likely applies elsewhere as well.
