I note Bedford had to retire early with Parkinson's. Sad about that, though my musical enthusiasms are some distance from Britten.

Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth's 99-year-old husband, was admitted to hospital on Tuesday as a precautionary measure after feeling ill with an ailment that is not related to COVID-19.

When you get to his age, you're on a downhill slope and can expect to 'go' at any time. It isn't a tragedy, just what happens to us all.

My good friend here at the Home has just died aged 99. He has had the "last laugh" as he has donated his body to medical research and will livve on forever in the medical journals
