Really?  You pick a video of a gun-toting, pickup truck driving redneck who probably does his own share of roughing up black people and NEVER complies, to make your point?  What is his source?  Obviously not from research.  I just wasted 2+ minutes of my life listening to this trash.  He's probably part of some apocalyptic militia hiding out in the woods with his deranged buddies salivating over the idea of no police, or even better, dead police.

This is just one example of why cops are anxious today:  https://nypost.com/2021/04/11/new-mexico-cop-darrian-jarrotts-shooting-death-during-traffic-stop-video/

I'll answer your question with one of my own:  What, in your opinion, is the sane response to being questioned, detained or arrested for something you say you didn't do?

I take it you're not a fan of the Liberal Redneck.  That's OK.  Humour is subjective.  However, I was sure you're the one who introduced me to these guys.  I must have been mistaken.

I don't understand the point of the question.  Are you saying the army officer who was pepper-sprayed and threatened did something wrong?  Was his reaction insane?  He calmly put his hands outside the car, complied with their demands, got a face full of pepper-spray, and when he truthfully said he was afraid to get out of he car the officer's reply was "Yeah, you should be!!"

How is this acceptable behaviour from the police?

Why should ANY citizen feel the desperate need to get to a well lit area with plenty of witnesses when being pulled over for a standard traffic violation?

Why should ANY citizen genuinely fear they are about to die at the sight of police lights?

They comply, they're assaulted.  They don't comply, they're killed.

Just do what he asked and admit you don't care.

Yes - when he was told to get out of the car, he should have exited the car.

The officer was a jerk and was fired.

No one should, unless they're running from an outstanding warrant for arrest.  See https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/daunte-wright-multiple-criminal-charges-when-pulled-over.   Where did you get the information all of these men were in desperate need to get to a well lit area?  Is there the possibility in your mind that they were just desperate to get away because they were guilty?

The kid killed yesterday - 2AM, gun in hand, dark alleyway, refusing to stop.  Should never have happened.  The kid had stopped running and dropped the gun.

George Floyd - high on meth and fentanyl.  Suspected of passing counterfeit bills.  Resisted arrest.  In your world, what should the officer have done (other than the chokehold which was barbaric and not part of police training)?  According to one coroner, Floyd would have died even without police intervention as a result of the drugs in his system overpowering his health problems.  Another said he died as a result of the chokehold.  Take your pick.

I find it hard to believe you really believe what you write.  Your generalities are mind-blowing.      Should I point you to the four police officers in 3 separate incidents who were shot yesterday while attempting to make routine traffic stops?  97 officers killed already this year.  I already know the answer, but I'll ask it anyway - where is your compassion for them?  Where is your compassion for the hundreds of black citizens, adult and children, killed by other blacks over the past few years.

My fear is that all of this lawlessness and the acceptance of it is going to lead eventually to a complete police state where no one but the police have any rights or, we'll end up with no law enforcement and live in complete anarchy.  This is not a race problem, it is a societal problem.

Sorry this is so messy.

Let me add just one more thing:  my point is, if these men had complied with police orders, they'd still be alive.  I'm not saying the police were right or wrong - I'm simply saying the dead men would still be alive.

He was afraid he would die if he did.  Are you saying his fear was unjustified?

The military officer drove for two minutes with his hazard lights on in order to get to a well lit gas station before stopping his car.  He had no criminal record and had done nothing wrong.  But he still feared for his life.

In other words he complied?  How did that work out for him?

I believe what I see.  Please watch this and tell me what this man could, or should, have done differently.  But more importantly, what should the police have done differently?

Video shows Army officer being pepper-sprayed by police officers during traffic stop

One of the police officers accused of using excessive force in a Virginia traffic stop has been fired following an investigation, the town manager said late ...

George Floyd's drug problems and Daunte Wright's criminal record are irrelevant.

By accepting these deaths as just another day in law enforcement you are denying your fellow citizens their 6th amendment right to due process.  The police don't have the right to execute criminals on the street.

If you have Netflix there is a short film I saw a review for. It's called "Two Distant Strangers"  It's like a groundhog day film where a young black man tries everything he can to not get shot by a police officer.  I don't have Netflix, but it looked really interesting.
