You're safe enough admitting it, since it was almost certainly done before 1945, before "Right of Conquest" was banned.

People have different values so I don't think preserving Values is a reason to  go to war.  The only reason 2 go 2 war is if One's country has been INVADED...not threatened but INVADED.  Otherwise diplomacy/negotiations is the way  to  go IMO.

Israel - and BM it would seem - are committed to Eternal Conflict.

And its been working for them - already done such immense damage to Lebanon that those in power only want to rob what remains and leave. (The Orthodox Church in Jerusalem doing the same thing for the same reason - selling off its land and stealing the money).

Expanding into Syria currently while it destroys still more of what was still working there.

Israel at its narrowest is some 25 miles and we have NO STRATEGIC depth , we cannot wait for the enemy to approach we need to take the fight to the enemy before they reach our borders - we have our backs to the sea .

Self preservation is a pretty good reason and most people seem to forget there are some 8 million Israelis and about 330,000,000 Arabs there is NO ROOM FOR ERROR permissible , history has shown that when we are (Israel) is threatened it is reasonable to assume that the threat will sooner or later be followed through.

ps - The IDF Eternal Strife doctrine is based upon having a region which is always in turmoil with NO ARAB STATE having social peace , Egypt , Jordan , Syria , Lebanon , Iran , Yemen , Iraq even Saudi Arabia are all under threat from both within and without , the requirement of having a military ready and able to deal with multi fronted issues is an absolute for a country smaller than the state of New York or smaller than Wales etc
