YOU MUST BE REGISTERED AS A DEMOCRAT TO VOTE FOR THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE FOR PRESIDENT IN ARIZONA! In some past elections independent voters were allowed to vote for the presidential nominee in the Democratic primary elections. That is NOT the case this year!

If you live in Arizona and are registered as an INDEPENDENT, this year you will NOT be allowed to vote in the Democratic Presidential Primaries in March!!! SO PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.... IF YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED AS A DEMOCRAT, CHANGE YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION TO DEMOCRAT... AT LEAST UNTIL AFTER THE PRIMARY IN MARCH! You can always switch back to independent afterward!

[reported from canvassing] spoken to numerous people who say they left the Democratic Party because they are so fed up with its leadership, who are wealthy and... just like the Republican leadership... are not representing the interests of the working class, and instead are endorsing only more "Republican Light" candidates. They say that is why they are registered as independent. They see it as "standing up for their principles".

However, they are dismayed when they hear that they will not be able to vote in the primary unless they are registered as a Democrat... esp. this year... because they realize how crucial it is that a truly bold progressive be nominated in order to beat Trump.

Unfortunately, dropping out of the party does NOT bring about the desired changes, and simply weakens the progressive base of the party, making it easier for the wealthy leadership to force their will on the entire party base. We MUST convince these independents to come back into the party so that we can stand united in wresting control of the party away from the "Republican Lights" who are currently in control. A large majority of these independents are very progressive and are Bernie fans who are proponents of M4A. If we don't get them to register as Democrats (at least until after the Democratic Primaries) it will be a huge blow to Bernie's chances of becoming the Democratic Nominee!

This is true in many other states as well, and in some states (like California) even though voters who are not registered as Democrats are "technically" allowed to vote in the Democratic Primaries, there will be HUGE obstacles to being able to vote for a PRESIDENTIAL candidate and actually have your vote counted:

I fear that Biden will get the nomination.

Mayor Pete and Kamala Harris will have another chance.

Bernie won't.

Who is your ideal pick?

Warts and all there is no denying that Israel stands alone in that cauldron called the Middle East.  I remember when Pres. Ronald Reagan warned Israel to clean up its act or our relationship might end.  That'll never happen.  For all kinds of reasons.

I can't disagree but Mr. Netanyahu must go.  He refuses to acknowledge that Palestinians even exists.

I am in total agreement with you, the law takes its time slowly so he clings to power tenaciously but he will go

The policies of Netatanyu towards the Palestinians actually stem from their own intransigence to move in any direction allied with their own leaders who have long ago lost their mandate to lead

What leaders? You've forced puppets on them. Husseini, Arafat and Abbass.

When they did choose their own leader, you forced him to live in a hole.

In any case America does not have to get involved in those internal/external issues.  That's what the UN was ostensibly for.

Any US involvement is for their own strategic interests .

The UN was FDR's idea, he wanted to ban the kind of things that Hitler had been doing, chiefly over-running borders.

Truman had no such qualms - forced through the creation of Israel (blackmailing UN delegates) and proceeded to treat Korea worse than Hitler and Stalin had done in sequence.
