At https://naboje.org/en/node/14089 you may find info on a 23x110B Hispano Suiza cartridge that is referred to as 23x110 B Hispano Suiza 805 AB exp. (below pictures with dimensions thereof).

Its description in the Czech language ('Experimentální náboj vyvinutý ve švýcarsku v polovine padesátých let pro letecký kanon HS 805 AB') means:

An experimental cartridge developed in Switzerland in the mid-1950s for the HS 805 AB aicraft cannon.

The cartridge looks (to me) as if it were the 20x110 necked up to take 23mm shell (and the case is belted). Was the weapon chambered for the 23x110B a derivative of HS 404/804?

Have you ever heard of such a 23mm Hispano cannon? If so, please share info on that.

Best regards,

Piotr

Yes, this was an attempt to increase the destructive effect of the HS 804. The belt was added to provide headspace as the shoulder was removed. In principle, only a barrel change would be required to fire the 23mm ammo. Unfortunately I have no projectile weight or muzzle velocity data.
