LOL, such smart optic has already been adopted by PLA on its QBU-10 sniper rifle since almost 10 years ago.

Could you expand on which capabilities the QBU-10 optic has? A quick googling turns up multiple versions of the smart optic, and the english translation in the description is pretty meh.

Theres this optic shown with charismatic sniper:

And then this optic shown by this more cranky character:

Yeah, I'm that random guy.

"Could you expand on which capabilities the QBU-10 optic has" Sorry I can't talk about that cuz I don't wanna get into trouble, but I can tell you the dynamic targeting reticle was a bit hard to use in the field. For example, the reticle is always jumping around as in TrackingPoint‘s vids. And we'll know how TrackingPoint solved this problem, they chose EM trigger controlled by computer.

Welcome to the forum! And thank you so much for making those animations. They have been tremendously helpful in our discussions in the NGSW thread, and numerous other websites discussing NGSW have relied on your animations.

You're an extremely talented animator / patent interpreter. On of your more recent ones, showing how the CT ammo expands to form the gas seal, was especially helpful for us understanding how these things work.
