Extreme prevalence of drones on the front lines means new methods and gear to fight them is being cooked up every day in garages of Ukraine and Russia , interesting are new hand-held drone approach warning receivers that pick up radio emissions from drone transmitting video  feed. It's quite interesting to read the detailed analysis of the recovered Switchblade 300 , it seems like a really high end product with no expense spared .Interestingly enough it seems it was developed for use in ME has some vulnerabilities related to datalink and the targeting sequence , also interesting i that it uses a lidar for fusing (airburst) not an impact sensor

Great info.

More FPV drones; seems like these are ramping up in production:

More "Ukraine Effect" - France planning a major increase in defense spending; by 2030 French military spending will have 2x'd since Macron took power in 2017.

Meanwhile, on the flipside, many other NATO countries are hesitant to reach 2% / spend more / make firm commitments...

Ah yes, it’s the US who don’t care about casualties in the unjustified invasion of a sovereign nation by Russia in violation of their own security guarantees.

Pershing II was really something too.

Gone too soon.

I am leaning towards calling the conventional warhead IRBM we're going to develop for the Pacific theater "Pershing III".

OTOH, if it’s worth an IRBM, it’s worth a W85.

Seriously, I do love Pershing III as a name.

No surprise here , US is playing dumb euro politicians like a fiddle.

Basically, all the heavy weapons supplied so far are from European stocks , jack shit from US, now the next step is to get the old German gear in to be wrecked in Ukraine posibl even all the rightauch gear that east Europeans got in exchange for warsaw pact gear, thereby exhausting most of european stocks , and vacuum is going to be filled by US , not because it has some large production capacity but simply because it has a lot of inventory and stockpiles it can deliver on short term basis vs 5-10years before Euro industry can fill the gaps.

Most permanent are temporary solutions, so once supply gear happens you can bet it will stay so for next 30+ years will all the related contracts and strings attached.
