Today was quite costly for Russian airborne assets, shotdown or crashed relatively deep inside Russian airspace.

* have to say that extensive watermarks on all the visual material in this war is an outright war crime.

German PzH 2000 Howitzers Suffer 'Image Collapse' In Ukraine

Some MPF style action of a tank clearing trenches alongside a squad of infantry; I may have been wrong about the utility of MPF as we've seen a number of vids like this.

Germany sending UA $3 Billion is weapons, lots of good stuff:

Germany setting up Patriot missile production and possible others

Patriot itself believed to be target of Kinzal attack, based on electronic signals Patriot emits.

Area Storm Shadow can potentially target:

CAESAR in action:

French-made CAESAR Howitzer and Polish Drone FlyEye in combat operations in Ukraine to fight Russia

What does effective teamwork within the Ukrainian Armed Forces look like? We join two units working together to destroy Russian targets with the help of mode...

If anything  PZH and Cesar  are getting the best PR in the Ukraine war second only to Himars , as they are rarely hit.   The biggest reputational hit is probably to M777 which has been like the kamikaze of artillery, the most killed artillery of the war. Followed by M109 and Krab but definitely not the PZH2000 , i think we have only seen 2 vids of PZH2000 and 1 or 2 of Cesar hit. Sure PzH2000 needed servicing to keep in order , other systems don't live long enough to come to that stage.

Of some 150  M777 supplied to Ukraine, Lancets alone killed at least 85 , lightweight construction also meant that damage that would not be fatal to other artillery is often fatal to M777, if anything M777 needs to be scraped or better yet mounted on a wheeled chassis.

Chinese  PCL-181 truck howitzer seems like the best compromise for a cheap manual or semi-automated loading on a light chassis with decent ammo load , and an armored platform.

Surprisingly for such a light platform its also capable of direct line of sight fire.

Somewhat unique vid as it shows FPV drone attack from both sides, note 3 FPV drones were used against single vehicle in short timeframe  , first one bounced of chicken wire , next one hit the vehicle from behind and third one finsihed it off.

Only luck for riders of ther MTB is that the 3rd attack took a while so attacked an empty wreck instead of the infantry.

That video is just pure BS.

For starters of couse the PzH2000 has problems with the mud during mud season. Each and every vehicles has. Tracked soemwhat less than wheeled ones.
The mobility of the PzH2000 is more or less unrivaled by any other modern tracked SPA system. It basically has MBT levels of performance.

The "delicate electronics" are just pure BS. They system uses mostly '90 tech. Its more electrical than electronics by todays standards. The system is also fully mature. The weather in Germany also is humid. PzH2000 also has been qualified to operate under all NATO defined climate conditions. Which means it works basically everywhere within spec. Arctic, tropic, desert doesn't really matter. Its highly reliable and praised for its easy to use layout.

The only real problem is the delivery of spare parts. Wear and tear during real combat operations is conciderable and because of the long time peace use in Germany has not been factored in apropiatly anymore. But the situation is improving.
Another problem is the availablity of munitons. But this is shared with all 155 mm weapon systems in UA. The Dutch are delivering Assegai long range shells for use in PzH2000 now.

So far not a single PzH2000 has been lost to hostile action. At least two have taken hits. One by a loitering munition. Turns out its called PANZERhaubitze for a reason. The systems where damaged but not lost. Both have been repaired. This information is a couple of weeks old now. Could be that there have been more incidences.

The Ukrainians repeatedly stated that they are very happy with PzH2000 and would like to get many many more. They even placed an order to buy brand new ones directly from the manufacturer.

First loss of our T55S in Ukraine

Probably the best T55 mod out there with L7  105mm canon and very modern optronics, but i don't think it had any additional mine protection for the driver added at the time of the modernization. looks like it ran over a mine , driver likely KIA

Now this is cool. Using multiple ~14" rifled sleeves that fit 40x43mm, which can be dropped into a 60mm mortar to fire and arm the 40mm like a micro mortar shell.

So maybe the future "heavy" rifle squad we talk about here needs a 60mm mortar? Or maybe 1 squad in a platoon?
