In regards to more terrestrial flashpoints (and our previous Taiwan / China discussion) I thought this video was quite interesting.

But I could also see us scuffling with them over the moon at some point, especially if they develop comparable launch ability to Spacex.

It was interesting. And long. Very long. Needs a condensed version for TLDR people like myself.
I don't know if there might be alternative explanations for the points in his "timeline", but the actions he discussed certainly could be preparations for war.

Not surprising but still kinda amusing. More than a little dark to complain that our proxies won't die fast enough for the war that we're funding.
To The Last Ukrainian !!! .Best money we ever spent Lindsey Graham !! ?
Same players would hardly accept massive losses to their own troops and ignore them to maintain the offensive.
Ukrainians fear heavy casualties; Proxy warriors fear Ukrainians fearing heavy casualties.
NYT: "American officials say they fear that Ukraine has become casualty averse''
'''Western countries helped Kyiv conduct simulations of the counteroffensive, which began in early June, for several months prior to the operations. The US and UK concluded that Ukrainian forces would suffer massive losses but believed Kyiv would ignore the losses and maintain the offensive at full scale. '' (sure bags of cash buy you politicians ignoring bodybags but not in any numbers even in the most corrupt country in Europe)
“In the first week of fighting, Ukraine incurred major casualties against Russia’s well-prepared defenses despite having a range of newly acquired Western equipment, including US Bradley Fighting Vehicles, German-made Leopard 2 tanks and specialized mine-clearing vehicles,” the outlet explains. Adding, “Joint war games conducted by the US, British and Ukrainian militaries anticipated such losses but envisioned Kyiv accepting the casualties as the cost of piercing through Russia’s main defensive line, said US and Western officials.”

You seriously comparing it to WW2 vs the past 30+ years of Interventions and casualties rates that make them interventions feasible indefinitely?
The numbers of the Normandy landing for Brits alone would mean today's Brit army wiped out in its entirety.
The worst thing with the whole Ukraine thing that this could have ended in April 2022 Ukraine declared a victory and would have under its control everything it controlled on Feb24 , now corrupt politicians living the best lives they ever had on our dime might get couple million more but for the plebs its ''Amputee rate in Ukraine rises to level akin to WWI'' ,and paymasters already decided its not enough .
Un-named officials that are afraid Ukrainians have become casualty averse deserve a good run through a minefield or two just to make sure they hit a mine and demonstrate by an example how they are not casualty averse
Like these poor bastards , original video is 11 minutes long and nearly every dismount on the video loses a limb.
A dramatic drone footage showed Ukrainian troops trapped in a minefield in Russia's Zaporizhzhia region amid their failed counteroffensive. The video purport...
