Using the Bronco as a utility vehicle for a tracked unit seems to be generally accepted. Now what I am wondering - why use a wheeled small utility like a HUMVEE? It is not likely to be able to get where the unit is in the wrong conditions. So I am wondering about a 'Jeep' version of the LuWa or something similar.

The biggest issue with that is cost and complexity sadly.

It's an interesting thought experiment but western nations quite frankly don't have it like that when it comes to the ability to make large quantities of something like that without multiple other arguably more important balls dropping.

In the current year the west genuinely faces resource and manufacturing limitations that we are frankly not accustomed to.

Cheaper to use an M113 you have in storage.
