Maybe the Army isn't publishing the data because it will show boosted 6.5 is better than 6.8?

That's right that SOCOM selected the 6.5 mm CM before 6.8x51 mm was available, but SOCOM paused their 6.5 mm CM program during the NGSW trials, only to resume it after reviewing the NGSW results.

SIG has also produced a hybrid version of 6.5 mm Creedmoor. I haven't seen test results, but anecdotally hear it performs exceptionally, especially with the US Government-furnished 6.5 mm EPR-style projectiles.

Now if someone could just get one of these high-pressure cases to work good enough as a neckless 5.56, that would be interesting.....
