Yikes!  IMO, that has way too much stuff hanging behind the holster.

If I want to holster carry a stocked Glock, I'd rather have something more like this:

Or this:

Any would work and give better accuracy and ROF than a pistol and not weigh near as much as a MP7 or AK74 strapped to my thigh.  I tested one at SHOT several years ago, the "stuff" wasn't noticeable to me and headshots at 50yds was easy.  The LOP on the Flux seems very short.

I doubt any pistol, sub gun etc will be able to defeat LIV armor, better just aim for unarmored parts.

One of the guys that worked for me in Colo was a handgun instructor for the police, Swat and sheriffs dept. First off he shot my FN 57 pistol and loved it when shooting bowling pins at 100yds off hand but he said they train the officers to use their pistols when trying to shoot through vehicles because a lot of the time a 5.56 will not go through if it hits a window gear or thicker area of a car door.  No way a 5.7x28 will pass through a car being 25 -50% lighter and slower.

Something like the Diamondback DBX57 would be a great size and weight  but the 5.7x28???

Probably not, at least for the energy you want. 9x23 Winchester could perhaps be upgraded, as well as 9x25. The real problem is controllability; the vast majority of people(me included) get maximum efficiency out of a 9x19. Anything more powerful, controllability declines relative to 9x19.

It's the problem in rifles for replacing 5.56/5.45; anything more powerful in a combat setting, the ability to hit more than one target quickly declines with an increase in power.

This is why 30 super carry is such a great round, if it doesn't die out completely which looks scary likely.

Ballistically, and in recoil impulse, it's downright superior to 9x19 in every way that actually matters.

It's a legitimate joy to shoot while putting down performance from 3 inch barrels that 9 can't really replicate.

The recoil impulse is better than 9? When it first came out, everyone reviewing it said felt like 9. That said, I would like to see a duty-size pistol in SC, it'd be a great outdoorsman gun.

(Then again, being a great hunting/varmint cartridge hurt the .327.)

I am really hoping for bigger pistols in .30 SC

Ditto.

I wonder whether S&W can use their rotating barrel gas system used in their new 5.7 pistol for the .30 SC? That pistol is very slender and holds 22 5.7, so should hopefully hold 20-21 30sc.

I have been wondering. For SF use, how about a bullpup version of the Honeybadger?

Why bullpup?

.300BO is optimised for short barrel performance - 5.5 inches is regarded as the sweet spot for subsonics & 8 inches (AFAIK) is optimal for supers.

HoneyBadger, aside from memorable marketing, is a well packaged 5.5" 300BO. EDIT: Actually 8” bbl. How do you see the tradeoffs of a bullpup justified by the longer bbl?

For reference, the minimum possible AUG bbl is ~14", since the gas block and piston are part of the barrel assembly and fit to the front of the housing (which is what Steyr calls the receiver). Contrary to assertions made to me by ex-soldiers, AUG barrels must protrude from the stock. (I kept quiet, rather than point out that I worked in the ADI (now Thales) Lithgow Small Arms Factory whilst at university and knew that it was mechanically impossible.)

5.5" is very short :) I was not aware of that. My idea was not a longer barrel, but a very short gun for SF. Doesn't have to be AUG. Also I was and am envisioning an integrated silencer that is big enough to actually silence the gun, which, from the pictures I have seen is a fair bit longer than the bbl. This would make the gun something like P90 in length - fully suppressed.
