Well, the T-72 hasn't exactly covered itself in glory. So giving yours to Ukraine and replacing them with M1Ax, K2, or Leopard seems like a good idea.
And most Europeans would prefer being under the American thumb than the Russian one.

FPV drone + RPG7 warhead = poor mans ATGM
The deed of a gloomy unknown ukrainian genius. UAV loitering munition with PG-7 destroyed RF BMP-1. Follow my tg... https://t.co/UlvVDGU4DA

It seems a larger Lancet 10 with more range and payload apeared
Chicken wire seems to be somewhat of counter to suicidedrones
Note grenades from two grenade launchers hitting the trees very close in due to a higher trajectory in comparison to the 30mm

Nyet Net > Cope Cage
Its funny, I had thought months ago nets would be a possible counter to the smaller drones. I had envisioned the nets used in baseball stadiums and Golf driving ranges to catch stray balls. However using chain link fence seems like a fine DIY option.

I am not convinced that the footage is from actual combat. To me it seems like they are just shooting up some trees.
The whole concepts to me seems more flawed as time goes on.
In UA ACs have been proven themself to be very potent and effective. But you don't need a tank to carry one as main weapon. Dual guns also seem unnecessary unless we talk about AA use where ROF is very important.

The second video that i posted shows some BMDs with ZSU 23 joining in, might be in combat but as you can see the grenade launcher hitting the trees they are shooting at something relatively far away, and hence mostly felling the trees.
A vid from a same sector of the front ,tanks and BMDs operating inside a forested area , lots of tree chopping. ROF on these 30mm cannons on BMD makes one wonder how much ammo do they have to feed it.

I agree from a kills per pound factor, a few airbusting 30mm AC shells from a single cannon seems like all thats really necessary for anti personel trench clearing.
But the psychological effect I think is worth evaluating. This tank with dual, rapid fire autocannons firing nothing but tracers is absolutely terrifying, and I think could very well induce soldiers / insurgents to call it day in an area in which it appears vs trying to take it on.
Sort of like the flamethrower tank.
That said, if it had a dual ground attack / AA drone/helicopter defense ability, it would be a lot more useful.

Some pics of the current crop of 'FPV' suicide drones. Reported cost is only $400, and are reportedly quite effective against lighter vehicles.
Given the low cost of these drones and ubiquity of RPG7 type warheads world wide, I suspect we will see these used in many other areas around the globe.

While German re-armament seems somewhat languid, Rheinmetall hasn't been wasting a moment:
Plans to
-Boost 120mm Tank ammo to 240,000 shells per year
-Increase 155mm artillery to 500,000 shells per year
-New medium caliber / 35mm ammo factory for Gephard opens this year
-Possibly make build HIMARS launchers and/or Rockets
-May open a new Powder Plant, but needs Federal $ for investment
