Multicam and derivatives is fast becoming the world pattern and for good reason, it is probably one of the best in many environments. question is now does everyone need to start using armbands for IFF

The first batch sent to the customer included several tens of thousands of summer and wind/waterproof clothing sets.
The kit is called "VKPO 3.0 arr. 2022"

The complete set of VKPO 3.0 includes: fleece thermal underwear, fleece jacket, summer, demi-season and insulated suits (jacket and trousers), moisture / windproof suit, combat shirt, summer cap, demi-season hat and winter scarf.

smile  "Russia asserts that it has the world's second most powerful military, and a number of people believe them.  But now people are saying that Russia is the second most powerful military in Ukraine."

Laughing at Russia Won't Solve ALL of Ukraine's Problems || Peter Zeihan

While in Helsinki, Secretary of State Blinken got some chuckles from the crowd (and me) when he said, "The Kremlin often claimed it had the second strongest ...

Gap between the first and next militaries is huge given that US outspends 15+ next countries combined year after year , combining all domains Russia it still easily the world's second military, Ukraine is not even a contender, what we see in Ukraine is Ukrainian men running on money, supply and ISR of the whole of NATO combined and barely scraping together arms and ammunition from all corners of the globe to keep Ukraine in the fright while Ukrainians pay in hundreds of thousands of lives for amusement of these idiots. And it could be into millions of lives at any time without being able to do anything about it. So its not even a theoretical question, but you could similarly claim US was the second power in Afghanistan after the Taliban and laugh it up and have some Zeihan chuckle over it in August 21 extra hard after they kill an aid worker and a bunch of kids out of sheer incompetence as an last acto fo Afghan war.

You do understand that making fun of the Russians and boasting of Ukrainian supersoldier is more or less SOP in part of information war aka propaganda .

Zeihan is an absolute tool, bought and paid for talking head a literal defense contractor, that is who gets to speak on these kinds of conferences and think tanks.

Defense contractors basically own airtime over Ukraine and their task is to sell weapons so fan the flames of this war as much as they can.

You have a very strange view of Ukrainian response to Russian aggression.  Ukrainians chose to fight the invading enemy force, so of course large numbers of Ukrainians are being killed while fighting in defense of their land against a much bigger opponent.

If your country were to be invaded by Russia, would your nation choose to fight or surrender?

Apparently you do not understand that...

Who's the customer, if you're allowed to say?

Already have seen armbands in use in Ukraine; probably will increase in the future.

in practicaly terms at least in regards to conventional forces China is probably ahead, but in a grand total China lacks the whole nuclear trade or more precisely its currently a small trade, but it surely getting there fast.

"Adversaries present new operational and tactical problems that disrupt our current military efforts. Lethal, low-cost, highly proliferated technology provides a reverse offset that can potentially generate an outsized warfighting advantage," the Marine Corps' new Force Design 2030 update says, speaking about the service's modernization efforts generally.

"Simply put, platforms that cost thousands of dollars can defeat platforms that cost millions of dollars. As demonstrated in the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and presently in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, UAS [uncrewed aerial systems] platforms and loitering munitions routinely defeat armor and fighting positions with top-down attacks."...

Some downside to weapons transfers to Ukraine is reduction in arms available for Taiwan. Among other munitions, it has delayed their order for GLSDB by 3+ years.
