Clorox is helping Barney Smith sell his Toilet Seat Art Museum
Barney Smith has spent half of his life decorating more than a thousand toilet seats to add to a homemade museum familiar to generations of San Antonians.
Now that the collection is for sale, Clorox, the cleaning company, has offered its worldwide platform to spread the news and ensure the city's heirloom lands in good hands.

The shed lined with 1,317 toilet covers at 239 Abiso Ave., in Alamo Heights, is a local gem known as Barney Smith's Toilet Seat Museum.
In July, the quirky curator and his family announced plans to auction off his work. Smith is 96 years old and his family agreed parting ways with the exhibit was the best decision. At the time, his daughter, Julia Murders, told mySA.com that interested buyers would need to set up an appointment with the family to see the collection and make a bid.
