Yep, the Europeans aren't stupid. They know that for the moment at least the only way to stop Trump's erratic trade ideas are to get the Republican leadership to stand up to him.

What's remarkable to me is that Republicans used to be the party of free trade and now they are the party of tariffs and isolationism.

The republicans are the party of insanity. The utterly deranged.

our best hope is that our allies target Republican districts with tariffs and flop enough elections to get the assholes out of office.

and mueller needs to get his ducks in a row - soon. The problem is the timing. I’d go for an October dump of indictments to flip congress - then we can have open hearings and build the case for impeachment.

They can hurt the country getting even with him. Trump is a far right Republican today because he's appealing to the far right base.

If he does something before the midterms the Republicans will blame him for any losses.

He’s not a Republican- stands for absolutely nothing that Reagan or Eisenhower believed.

hes a grifter, a Russian candidate.

the Trumpian party can’t blame a loss on him- they are him.

He is a grifter and that's what the Republicans of the past have become...catering to a grifter and loser.

The thing is, though, he is a Republican in that the Republicans are all Trumpians now. The Republican Party is now defined by Trump, or, as you said, insanity --same thing. There is no Republican Party as we used to know it anymore.

That's very obvious to former Republicans like my husband. He will say the party left him. I'm pleased about it.
