Here are two books listed in reference to "Black Wall Street" which was a district in Tulsa, Oklahoma settled by Blacks and Black Indians BOMBED by the United States government in 1921. In the district, we OWNED our own banks(stocks, bonds, oil wells & fields), there were Black Physicians, Lawyers, Teachers, etc.

On December 18, 1995 PBS aired an American Experience special entitled "Goin' Back To T'Town," about the Greenwood, Northeast Tulsa Oklahoma(known as Black Wall Street) race riot of 1921. You may call 1-800-255-9424 if you would like a copy of the video cassette; if the number is no longer in service just telephone PBS, and ask if you may purchase a copy of the American Experience series entitled: "Goin' Back To T'Town" which originally aired December 18, 1995.
