Game of Thrones Is Over ... Now What About the Books?

George R. R. Martin insists that the final entries in his fantasy series are still coming—even though HBO has finished telling his story first.

I REALLY want to talk about the last season of GoT, but I know many people don't want spoilers.

My thoughts are here if anyone wants to commiserate with me.

Cheers,

Jenifer

I have not seen one movie, so I am definitely not the one you want to hear from  :-)

My son watched a lot of it, but he was so disappointed about how the series ended ...

I heard there are some people who are so upset at the ending of Games that they are seeking therapy .... really???  :-)

Same thing happened when JR got shot, weak TV addicted society strikes again.  My only addiction is Jeopardy, it is recorded and watched but episodes are never saved.

I have watched all @135 hours of GOT this year, never saw a single episode before this year, lots of late night binge watching.

Was there a MOVIE of GOT?  Never heard of it.

I remember when JR got shot!  Loved that show!  I finally stopped when Bobbie "died".. and then Pam woke up a season later to find that it was all a dream.  Really????

I liked the show .. it was like a night-time soap opera  :-)   I never did get interested in the spin-off .. now I can't even remember the title.

Wouldn't surprise me.

It feels like such a let down.  We invested 8 years in this and some people feel it was all for nothing.

However, the signs were there all along.  We just kept forgiving Deny, because the people she burned were all bad... until they weren't.

The storyline was so complex, it was impossible to make everyone happy, not that bad altogether.  Dany got what she deserved though the way was a little odd, Tyrion was rewarded in a very tongue in cheek way, Jon remained the third person in a pair, Sansa was rewarded by just being patient and sly, Arya was never going to be an inside player, always the adventurer and never really happy where she was and so on.  Tyrion and Arya were my favorite protagonists overall.
