I ordered a saw:

Several years back someone on BT sold me some track for the EZ Smart system. But I never had the money to get a dedicated saw. This year I just said the hell with it and used some Christmas money. If the UPS website is correct I should get it Monday.

Sancho,

I'm glad you started this thread.

That looks like a nice sander.  Just having the quick-brake is worth it on a pad sander.  Plus Bob Marino is a great guy and he'll break up the sanding packs so you can buy 20 sheets o a grit rather than having to buy 100 of each grit.

I bought a sander to -- a ridiculously expensive sanding block called a Time Shaver but so far I like it.  1/4 sheet, uses almost all the sheet, stretches is over a 3/16 neoprene pad.  Holds 4 sheets so you can tear off a worn out sheet and keep sanding.

Boss,

You'll like having a track saw, and it's even better now that Dino does the saw modifications for you.

Billy

Ron,

I've got the flatiron version of that. Great sander. I use it for everything from finishing sanding to drywall. Makes a really nice drywall sander, BTW.

Best,

Steve

Billy,

(I had no idea this thread was missing here)

I ordered some of these router table stock guides last weekend. They've got a tiny amount of toe-in that keeps the stock tight to the fence. I was supposed to have them in hand by Thursday, but the handoff from UPS to USPS isn't working so well. Apparently they went to a different PO in Alexandria, and they can't seem to find me. Must be that new fangled Zip Code thing they are still rolling out. I've got to wait for them to go back to Woodcraft and then all the way back to me.

Also bought some systainers that were on a silly 50% sale on Amazon and some smaller ones to turn into a couple of first aid boxes. One for the house and one for the truck.

Steve,

That hold in/hold down looks nifty. Will it mar the work piece?

That is a heck of a deal on systainers. For some reason I thought Festool dictated selling prices or is that just for certain items?

Chuck

Chuck,

I don't think it will mar the workpiece. There's a screw that provides some adjustability to the pressure.

The systainers were from Tanos. I think Tanos makes the systainers and then does a special color run for Festool. Festool does tightly control its pricing, but I'm not sure that Tanos does.

It was maybe a 36 hour promo on Amazon for these.

Best,

Steve

I have some of the Eurekazone stuff that I'm willing to sell if you're interested. Track, square, router guide.

I have plenty of track, and don't need a router guide. But I can see using the square.

Is this the one you have?
