Jack I found a New York Times review dated 3/17/69 of Tim Buckley at Philharmonic Hall by Mike Jahn........which is very complimentary........if you don't have it I'd be happy to fax it.......I don't have a poster.  In the same article Danny Kalb and friends  Live at Cafe' au Go Go, are reviewed with his new band featuring Karen Dalton on vocals and rythym guitar.  It says, a good band, beefy and real.

This site seems to be growing and there are now 20 members current and another 20 which come occasionally.  Its gratifying to see there is still interest in Cafe' au Go Go and the 60's which seems to be growing.

I feel so relieved to have sent off the FRED NEIL tapes I had here plus some Bob Gibson to www.sundazed.com who are excited to make the project happen even though it entails massive work and research plus remastering.  Hopefully Tony will release to them the some 3 hours of Cafe' au Go Go/Woodstock material to them, so that at least one full project will get done soon and we all will hear the last of the Fred Neil archive for posterity accomplished by a great and caring company through the auspices of Sony/Cbs who owns the Bayshore/New Jersey material produced by Rico & Freddie.  I've some of these tapes for almost 40 years and God willing they will be treated with the respect and care they deserve.  I think you will agree that Sundazed has already done a great job on the reissue of Bleecker and MacDougal.  It is their intention to repackage all thats out there for a full antholgy of Fred Neil and Friends from as many sources as will contribute to the ongoing project in tribute to this superb musician and composer.

It was a big decision for me to make in that as Tony Arnold says it is taking Jewels out of the Crown but I felt it needed to be done while the iron was hot and there is so much enthusiasm by this wonderful company of first class credibility who wishes to treat all concerned respectably, especially the estate of Fred Neil.

Hi Howard

I'd love to read that review of Tim Buckley at Philharmonic Hall.
If you email me at jbrolly@optonline.net , I'll give you my fax number.

I would then send the article to the Tim Buckley Archives, where it would be placed along with all the other newsworthy articles and interviews related to Tim.

It really is a shame that Fred Neil didn't like to do interviews.

He was blessed with such a gift for transmitting his thoughts and feelings (as well as the thoughts and feelings of a lot of people) through his music and lyrics.

How aware was Fred of the incredible talent that he possessed???

Later,
Jack
