I just had a huge piece of cake still hot/warm from the oven and poured hot icing I made from sscratch ove it and now I am stuffed enough to go to bed.  and sleep good.  The cake was a Duncan Hines French Vanilla and the icing was made with brown sugar, powdered sugar, whipping cream vanilla food flavoring and real butter..so good.    What is your favorite cake?

I made a lemon bundt cake today and bits of it stuck to the pan. I hate when that happens. Luckily the Sunday school classes at church will eat just abut anything. They're the canaries in my coal mine when it comes to trying new recipes.

Thanks, Sweetie! They're so easy to make, aren't they?

I think I'll have to throw that bundt pan away.

I think I recall a *MilkStreet Radio* show discussing older bundt pans v newer bundt pans.

Suggested to TOSS old pans and try a newer non stick version.

I had an older one years ago and trashed  it when a coffee cake would NOT come out of the darn thing.

yes Linda....very easy to make.   mine is one of the first ones that had the non stick interior. I used to use it a lot but I really like a sheet pan or  9x13.  and I love the new cake "covers/keepers"?  Don't know what you call them but Walmart carries them  it's a pan that has an attached lid that a 9x13 cake pan fits down in it ....for carrying to get togethers/bring a dish.  Once there, the clear insert comes out.  have you seen them?  Let me see if I can find it.......... well I finally found it...it's called "Fancy Panz"  here is what it looks like ...this is from Walmart... Walmart has them for $12.95.  but they don't have the extra accessories.  Amazon has them but they want $19.95 I think,..... but theirs has the extras.  https://tinyurl.com/y35aypfm

I make a Rum Cake that is Fantastic, anytime the group that I ride with has a meeting I have to make this cake for them or get chastised by the First Officer and his Wife.

Do you grease it with butter by hand or use the  cooking spray? I had one pan that started messing up and when I switched off the spray and greased by hand making sure I got every little crevice then it didn't stick anymore, all I let it cool for 10 minutes then tap it out.
