Can I make it to where members are unable to delete their own messages? I want to promote a non-censorship venue; but the deleted messages don't indicate "who deleted them".
Is there any way I can alleviate this? thanks!

This is the closest there is unless you change folder access to Read Only which would also prevent posting. Even still they might be able to edit and delete messages already posted — I haven't checked.

Under Controls - Main Settings:

Message Editing:
Do you want to let your members edit their messages? This is a helpful tool for cleaning up typos and spelling errors. All edits are noted in an audit trail at the bottom of the message.

My guess is that you cannot prevent people from deleting their own messages, much like forum managers retain the ability to edit or delete anyone's messages.

I just fear that if I disable the "edit" option; the "delete" option will still be available (and any "errors" will result in MORE deleted messages). I have traffic on my Forum; so I can't start "experimenting" with the controls.

I was wondering If Delphi is working on a feature that will indicate who deletes messages (it just says "message ___ deleted").

A tool to track deletions is often requested and is on the wish list as a possible future enhancement.

One more question...

If I disable the "edit" option; will this remove the "delete" option too?

Delete is always available, regardless of how edit is set.
