Out of over 30 dogs in our club, he is by far the largest and one of only two GSDs, so he is pretty fast and agile. He is running and not crawling. He is extended when running which lowers his top line and his head is lowered.

What other breeds are going for PSA? I taught mine the flip finish but it’s not as crisp as yours is. He throws himself into a sit. It’s very cool. They also call it military finish. Other large breeds are taught to go from a front sit, to behind the handler and into heel. I used to have to argue with the obedience trainers when I want to do the flip.

It says unavailable but if you tap on v in the upper left corner it should play.

Any dog can compete, but the sport is dominated by Mals, then DS’s, GSDs probably next, Giant Schnauzers, pit bulls bully bred bull dogs. There is a tiny backyard bred pitbull that has done very well, but the dog would never be able to protect you but that is not the focus of PSA or most sports. Some dogs will due to genetics.

Dutchies? Do many people own them? They are rare here. Even Mals aren’t all that common.
