There are so many holes in this research, it may representative, but it is something new to me.  What do you think?  I am looking for research in trait bundling while this is about which parent passes along traits to puppies.

I am looking for analyses that compared which dog the puppy physically resembles and their traits.

I don't think it addresses trait bundling such as heavy bones in many dog breeds and even cats frequently being associated with grey coat color.

I think what you are looking for in your second post, is Scott and Fuller.

Look up the domestication of the foxes in Russia, I'd link to it but I don't have enough time to find a good article. But to sum it up they have traits in the domesticated foxes not seen in the feral versions of foxes or very rarely seen showing that some of the physical characteristics must be linked somehow with the 'tame' genes. Theses physical traits are unusual coat colors, ears that stay floppy longer, and some trale traits I believe.
