Our club is fortunate that a member takes dozens of photos each time we train.  He has become very good.

Yes, he is good.  Does he take a lot of pictures at  ice or does he video and then pull stills? I got some of my best action shots out of videos.

He’s fierce.  I can tell how much time you’ve put into training. Nice work!

He looks like it.  What is your next goal?

To show for PSA 2 in the spring.  Have to pass two separate trials to obtain both legs of level 2 to earn title.

That's not a fair fight... he's muzzled! (* CHUCKLE *)

But he is quite ferocious and with his weight, he really seems to push the attacker back quite a bit many times.

I wouldn't want him to attack me either with... or God forbid... without his muzzle!

FWIW

Keep in mind that this is training where he is on a long line so he can be pulled back from the decoy to build frustration and send him several times.  In trial, the dog is off leash with no collar for the whole routine.  The decoy is further away than in the training video and come out running at the dog so the contact should be more intense and the fight is not as drawn out as in the training video.  After the fight, the dog is commanded to down and you go up to the dog and decoy and heel away.  Focused heeling is always scored.  In some ways muzzle fighting in sport is counter to the real point of muzzle work which is to teach a dog to fight a man without any equipment and when the dog’s main weapon (teeth) are not available.
