If they are a long observed pair you can kinda tell - females are usually larger than the males but it's not that big of a difference. So you can stop looking under their plumage lol lol lol

that explains the befuddled look on the bird's face! You can easily imagine it thinking "what the heck are you doing??"

Actually that is exactly what my husband said!

lol, your husband must be good at reading expression and intent - is he the same with people?

lol No I meant he was asking me what the heck I was doing. Meowing works!

lol, I was saying what the eagle was saying, because that was the look on his face! that is so funny - yes meowing works for most animals even cats lol
