I appreciate that he want to protect his son... too bad he didn't teach him to respect others as well.
The father of Brock Turner, the ex-Stanford swimmer who was given a paltry six-month sentence in a county jail for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman in 2015, is defending his son's crime-and saying that he should not be imprisoned for only getting "20 minutes of action."

There is a dark part of me that hopes he becomes very popular with the predators he will encounter during his limited time in jail.

I'm not sure I agree with this, but it's certainly one point of view. The focus of the story is that the victim's statement had no place in the courtroom, that victim impact statements are contrary to our justice system, where guilt & sentencing should be based on facts that were presented in the trial, and that's all.
Brock Turner is an odious criminal who committed a heinous act and deserves to go to prison for much longer than his six-month sentence requires. His trial confirmed that both racism and sexism continue to plague America's criminal justice system, especially where rape is involved.
