Such a nice read about A.P. Indy.  You can't help but love these great horses.  Imagine being his groom in the horse's old age.  What an honor.

I remember seeing pictures of A.P. Indy and his groom and was immediately reminded of Man O War and Will Harbut

Well one thing I didn't know is the part aobut him being classified as a ridgling, but that he had the undescended testicle removed during his racing career.  Fascinating.

peanut butter n' jelly for sure, these grooms + horses are often so "in step", find that true w/many animals, when I was volunteering with the wildlife rehabber.   There was one owl out of all the raptors he just delighted in giving me a hard time.........all the time.
