Delta horse now:Maxfield. 2 for 2. Ran last to first in the duo. Breeding is who's who for me IMHO. Jockey Jose Ortiz extremely suited for this caboose runner who picks up the pieces by sweeping the early pack after field makes it appear they left this colt in the dust. From the gate no less. Godolphin bred + owned. Brendan Walsh trainer with a wardrobe of awesome fedoras + suits. A 4 way connection + breeding.

When will he make it back to the races, and will it allow him to get fit enough for the Derby?

Owner has resources $ to enable the colt to recover. In years past, Godolphin would have shipped horse home to Dubai. Maxi is at Palm Meadows. And eye kept out for 1st workout. Colt was listed as one of top 21 in straight bet in a Derby future pool. We have 89 days to see his Derby point path. And..he is just the roll out Delta horse today. Two years ago..for example, Lookin At Lee was the Delta colt and was in and out then in the 20 colts point cut.

I have never seen him race, but he has a Derby Winner Pedigree. sounds like a closer style, i would like it if hes a mid packer.. Mr P/ Api long nick, TF family 1x.. The Big guns in the right positiions in the first 7 generations. I like to see that trainer working for deep pockets.

The Kentucky Derby is high on Sheikh Mo’s radar.Like you stated,he previously preferred to take the Dubai route.I think Brendan Walsh is a good fit for Maxfield and Godolphin.

Always like to view Derby poster...2 yellow silks with number 4. Even if the silk in the back of the field is unrecognizable as14, say one can't see the "1" on the silk.. would not be this color/number combination. There is also a third yellow color silk running in outside front of the field.
