DogsUp said...Looks like just 9 runners in the Bel Stks and that includes Mott's connections deciding Tuesday to enter Modernist.
The whole card looks like a So Cal card with very few horses. NYRA is going to have to do a whole lot more in order to get any of my $$.
As I understand it they also could not fill that MSW w/out lasix race.....what a shame.
So NY gets no wagers from me.
Looking to play a tri box of 1, 4, 8.
I read....so much of the country's economy depends on shopping by the top income bracket that the wealthiest 25% of Americans account for fully two-thirds of the total decline in spending since January.
This will affect racing's future
Good as any. Wish I could get that All In 3 runners beat me attitude..
I'll put $2 on Farmington Road across the board. Just to have someone to root for.
BEL very chalky today. Can pretty much play any track and do better.
Why I rarely play NYRA or CA tracks.
COngrats to TTL though.
THis sort of sums up what U.S. race fans want I guess:
"Fastest Belmont Ever!"
Now twinspires informs me we have a "champion in the making" :)
The Bel Stakes final pick 4 whereas the final leg race 12 was where about everybody had a twitch that could win and anything could happen to lose. $400+ with favs winning 1st 2 legs. Happens all the time. Nobody goes deep in others fearing a negative return.
Carving out a short schedule of 4 races where (almost) there is a free square in like Tiz the Law.
Penn State grad octogenarian trainer Barclay Tagg says the Upstate NY posse is headed for North East Upstate track Saratoga..At the Spa for a testy trip in The Travers.
I always wonder how connections wear suit, tie and sometimes jacket and don't break a sweat.
Maybe Mr. Ken Ramsey has his race attire spray painted on?
August Upstate is so humid. By then, our courageous Gov. may lift the crowd ban. The Great NY State Fair with/without crowd (which I was kicked out of*) should signal if event attendance will be allowed. *The Fair stopped the sales of tobacco. Our booth was located dead center in the wine court. Wine slushies of grape concentrate and NY wine..with or without a straw. Shaken..not stirred.
Jack Knowlton is the other more well heeled significant partner in Sakatoga Stables. Lives in Saratoga home of the mid-summer Derby..Travers Stakes. All involved claim that the Traders was a want to be in race for the Tiz the Law 2020 campaign. But it is just that. The humans want to be in it with their runner. American Pharoah went to The Spa. After nailing his Triple Crown. Presently financially rocky, owner Zayat insisted over Trainer Baffert's "not a good idea" doubts and warning
Well the Dogs' fleas give the same itch. Owner vanity (hey nothing wrong with it) go for the mile and a quarter race in homeboy NY State, with NY breed.
Haskell is mile and eighth.
Trav mile and a quarter.
Same purse..Hask is a Brd Cup win in.
Travers the Brd Cup committee would more than likely invite winner to participate
