Can’t wait to see photos of Thunder Road winner, Hit the Road if you have them. Congratulations to trainer Dan Blacker on his initial graded stakes win. It’s fitting that he got it with this horse that took him to his first BC appearance.
Hit the Road(More Than Ready), came back from injury, and looked like a different horse. He had started to show improvement right before his injury in July, and looks to have come back sound. He reminds me a bit of Catholic Boy, as has showed an ability to race close to the lead, after starting his career as a closer. I thought the pace may compromise his kick, but he literally exploded, finishing in 1:33 1/5, earning a speed figure of 111, his first three digit number. The Kilroe will probably be his next test, and we’ll see where he stands in the older horse turf division.
