all of yours were competitive and looked good ,Airman pinned down took a lot of mud, he should bounce back

first two 1st time 2 turns.

Yeah, thanks......happy with my picks, certainly.  Dubyuhnell especially impressive in good time for the track conditions, showed a good fighting spirit.  See how he comes along in the winter at Aqueduct, clearly loves the track and its general condition in the winter.  Agree about Airman, look forward to seeing how he comes out and does on fast tracks.

And wow, Affirmative Lady was very competitive in that race, the first around two turns.

And my top pick, Post Time, looked phenomenal coming from behind in the mud at Laurel......spoke about him in a different thread, but I think he should do well stretching out to two turns in the KD preps this winter, probably at AQ.  Loved the confidence and the far turn move, and thought jockey gave him a patient and non-stressful ride.

Don't bet Laurel ever, so surprised to see him go between 6/5 - 1-5 - even money, all in the last 4 minutes!  Doesn't take much to move the needle there, sure it wasn't my Benjamin that made any difference :)

I put him on the Classic list after I checked him out from one of your posts ,great find IMO. message 1399 12/1/22

He gave the 2nd place horse a huge handicap lead and was very impressive doing it.

The negative could be who he beat . It may not be as good as it looks !

Agreed.  That's why I hope connections take him up to AQ in the winter, see what he can do vs. more.  Love his style, enjoyed the jock's post-race interview too, very humble and grateful.  Be great to watch more humble connections compete against the Big Boys on the circuit.....there must be room for more than Baffert/Pletcher/Cox/Asmussen in the Derby Trail races/preps.

Wondering if you caught the Laurel Futurity and Post Time's race....and what you thought?  I think he progressed nicely, won impressively, overcoming a slow start.  And I actually really liked jock's ride!  Perhaps coming back from a drought, humbled, made him a more patient and non-assuming rider?

This year I've been following some pricey MTR two year olds, but none of them stepped up. Out of the blue, a moderately priced first timer named, Safe Trip Home, stepped up and won nicely at Turfway on 12/2. I know it was on an all-weather surface, but I like the way he did it, and there's some good dirt influences in his pedigree. He's out of a Bernstein mare, with names like Affirmed, Tiznow, Chief's Crown, and others, fairly close up in her pedigree. She was stakes placed up to 12f, so hopefully she passed on some stamina as well.

Bernstein 1x Has the same Conduit Mare as MTR 1x La Troienne BP Transcendant
that gives Safe Trip Home a Piggyback Tail female  line from his Sire and BMS to go
with his TFF line 3o  with another line from Relaunch with a 1x/3o Dam S/BMS
4 stam Chef in 5 generations, he should be competitive.
Its getting Harder to project good runners with the Breeding getting Better
and a lot more making Projecting Pedigree guidelines, way to many this year.
