Souper Legacy(Hard Spun out of a Candy Ride mare) proved too much to catch for Ready For The Lady in the off the turf 7f 5th race at Woodbine. RFTL ran well from off the pace, giving MTR another second place on debut runner, to join James Aloysius, Consumer Spending, Dressed, Bubble Rock, and Labarde. Consider his debut winners, Ready AP, Plus Chic, Koala Princess, Ready Lady, and On Thin Ice, and I have to say he is having a very good year with the juvies!

I'll check that race out. MTR is having a good year, Sire and BmS isn't bad either.
Race 6 Saratoga might be a Key race for 2 yr old Turf fillies, Well Bred and the field was
Bunched up won by :Hail To, by Kittens Joy/Dynaformer. last 1/16 5.67

Races like the one you referenced are fun to analyze. The winner was impressive, but the runner up, Kinchen, should be a short priced favorite in her second start. She encountered quite a bit of trouble, which for a firster could have caused her to pack it in. She continued on to just miss.

Oh, I agree with you, A firster race like this one shows the promise of the whole
field imo, bunched up and moving to the finish with there own unique trials to learn
to be the best they can. I thought it was a intelligent field seldom seen !

Monday, Labor Day, the $500K More Than Ready Stakes goes as the 11th race at Kentucky Downs. The mile race on the turf has some promising juveniles, hoping to move toward the BC Juvenile Turf race.
Top trainers like Michael Maker(two starters), McPeek, Asmussen, Romans, and Casse, will bring some nice two year olds in for this one, along with some others. The race has 11 entries. I’m looking forward to this one, as MTR himself, is represented by the Casse entry, On Thin Ice.
