Oh, I agree with you, A firster race like this one shows the promise of the whole
field imo, bunched up and moving to the finish with there own unique trials to learn
to be the best they can. I thought it was a intelligent field seldom seen !

Monday, Labor Day, the $500K More Than Ready Stakes goes as the 11th race at Kentucky Downs. The mile race on the turf has some promising juveniles, hoping to move toward the BC Juvenile Turf race.
Top trainers like Michael Maker(two starters), McPeek, Asmussen, Romans, and Casse, will bring some nice two year olds in for this one, along with some others. The race has 11 entries. I’m looking forward to this one, as MTR himself, is represented by the Casse entry, On Thin Ice.
Results from the race posted on message 151: race 9 today at Saratoga G3 turf
The 3 on our list filled out the trifecta 6-4-1
One of your MTR 2 yr. old turf fillies won race 2 Saratoga MSW 5.5 f
Bubble Rock Showed a turn of foot and pulled away. Added to the list.
I like her Pedigree for turf.
Yes. She either moved forward off her debut, or seriously flattered the filly that beat her. She looked very professional today, and can probably stretch out. MTR continues to have a great year so far with these precocious youngsters.
Good turf prospects race 5 Ellis Park Today won by:
Ready To Purrform by Kittens Joy/ More Than Ready won by a neck ..Tr. Brad Cox
Decent field of 2's . Speed, Stalkers, Closers,
Race 6 a Filly Race won by another Brad Cox trained. Juju's Map wired the field on dirt
good time and fractions.
Tomorrow at Del Mar, Peter Miller sends out highly touted Drink the Wind, who showed speed and faded badly in his debut.
Then on Labor Day, Chad Brown brings back Consumer Spending, who just missed in her debut. Mark Casse also brings back for his second start, On Thin Ice, who won his debut down at Gulfstream. He will be stepping up to stakes company in the Kentucky Downs Juvenile Turf. I hope MTR stays hot!
