Forte did you see how dirty he was, That is a sign of a Warrior imo and the rush the last 1/32
Kudos to the Jock .
Mage a Apollo late to the party Saez jock . is this his choice for the Derby ??? Followed Forte and
passed him after the 6f call and circled the field 5 wide got the lead at the mile Passing Cyclone Magic
with Forte 2 1/2 lengths behind who won by a length, Cyclone Rated finished 3rd 4-5 wide the last Q
3 lengths behind Forte.
And another timing screw up, sounds like they need to get rid of timing beams.
I see Randy Moss still does the Beyers for Gulfstream and he and His computer
are involved in finding stuff.
also I try to remember how a horse does that races with front wraps #7 Il Miracolo 98-1, broke hard to the left
and stopped the 6 horse Nautical Start ,I bring this up to point out its a negative more times than naught
especially the ones wrapped up like a mummy.

Forte is a beast, no doubt! You’ll get no argument from me. I think he wins the Derby. I also believe that his best competition may come from the horse he defeated, who ran a pretty impressive race in his own right. I think his move was premature, and running that hard around the turn, may have cost him.

Jock had to "ride him" the entire race, lots of work, but also hard on the horse.

I didn't see the jock use his whip the last part of the race moving by horses in a hand ride
I thought kudos for that guy.

I didn't say the jock whipped him. (certainly nothing close to the way Irad flogged Known Agenda, he actually looked like he was "punching him" his hand was levelling such strong blow....I counted 8-9 on Known Agenda .... that was brutal).
I said he had to "ride him" (Forte) the entire race. This didn't look anything like the FOY though.
I watched Big Brown do it running 22 and 3 first Q when he "took over". Like just galloping along fast like he was able to do w/out a lot of effort as he had that running style.
Just saying Forte is a horse who worked hard to win this, being a stalker/closer type from an outside post, part of that is understandable, but who also might be called on to run 3 TC races in a row w/very little rest in between, and I have no doubt this had to have taken something out of him 5 weeks before the TC races begin in a race where he did not need points. Maybe Irad and owners etc. needed/wanted a thicker wallet. That may come back to bite them.

I saw the PPs for BG Sun Thunder coming back from LaD, no surprise there but was surprised to see Flo on him. I think he just needs 20 to be safe could possibly get by with 10. I wouldn't pick him to win since big points not needed and the quick turnaround.
Edit 4/6: of those needing points, the 3 for me. Good horse needs the points more than others.
