twoshots said:Mo D and Nest are the only two from this race to race both lasix-free and bute-free in all of their races. Coincidence or not, they were much the best two yesterday.
Rich Strike and Barber Road were the other two lifetime Lasix-free/Bute-free runners. That small 'b' is for blinkers.

Rich Strike is a gazer, he has to look all around, he was even looking at the crowd WHILE he was running. He needs earplugs and anything else that will cut back on sensory perception (which I also hate suggesting, ala Kerry Thomas type advice because I like horses to be able to sense what is going on around them, but maybe not all racehorses can "handle" that. ) . And, he tried to bite the pony.....again! Hate to suggest this, but may be one that needs gelded? There WAS a filly in the race, and he seemed very worked up, not sure it if was that, the crowd, who knows.

Well, Skippy ran his race and Franco gave him a great ride. Just not good enough. He was a bit wide, and the first 1/2 may have been a little too fast, though he probably doesn't like to be to the inside of other horses.
