Big mile race coming up at Hanshin on November 20 as one of Japanese racing fans favorite racers, the brilliant Sodashi [she of the multitude of plushies] in a Group 1 contest at 1600 meters. Should be a good one as 17 horses will go to post with ages ranging from 3 to 10. Not a typo - 10 years old.
Just a heads up for anyone interested.

Serifos under Damien Lane, flying on the outside from near last to win strongly in 1:32.50. Dannon The Kid, 2nd, Sodashi, 3rd and Soul Rush 4th in a tight scrum to the finish.

Glad I only watched. I had no intention of trying to beat Sodashi cutting back 200 meters to her preferred distance and I didn't see Serifos.
Race set perfect for him.

Sodashi got bumped pretty good looked like to me. Serifos had a clean outside run. Good race.

Like I said, it was a scrum. It may have cost her 2nd but who knows? It was a good race and the winner is a Group/Grade 1 type for sure.
