Did anyone notice that Frosted Departure has been running since beginning of July 2022, with only a "vacation" from acutally RACNG from Oct 30, 2022 til November 26, 2022.

But it wasn't a vacation.   He was never turned out or even given pasture time.    Because I looked up his workouts, and he posted works on November 12, 2022 and November 22, 2022.

So, he only had from Oct 30th, 2022 til November 12, 2022 --------He's had 13 days off since July of 2022 and hasn't had an actual break since then?  (Heck, it's taken Arabian Knight 16 days to recuperate from the Southwest Stakes enough to start working again, albeit only a 3F work!  But more on that later).

Somebody check me on this.   I was looking at his record and yesterday surmised there are owners here who are pushing --but now that I looked more closely, it seems like they are pushing pushing pushing and pushing.

Because they seem bound and determined that he win a graded stakes race?   The best he's done so far is 3rd in one G3.

No real turnout time and the horse is about to run his 11th race?  (rebel will be his 4th Graded Stakes, in addition to his 4 non-graded stakes, an OC, and 2 maidens.

This seems rather excessive?  Do you guys think I'm reading the owner's intents correctly?  Then I noticed that McPeek I belive IS part owner, actually (Magdelena Racing---Sherri McPeek)

This aint no Derby Trail campaign for sure.  But I find this to be a rather unacceptably hard campaign for such a young horse, foaled in May 2020.

Interesting you noticed that. McPeek usually takes Mid November until mid January off

Might have to check the rest of his stable pattern this year for time off. might be an Assistant

or like you think an owner.

Horse is working good by looks of it

It's interesting how trainers ebb and flow from season to season at Oaklawn.  For instance John Ortiz, who I really like, has not been doing well at all in 2023.

If he sends this one in the AR Derby after 12 days of "vacation" for the entire year, I'm giving McPeek the Stink eye.   He can go back to horses like Blueridge Traveller instead.

This is a case of ownership and trainer are family members.  And when you start looking like you're juicing the lemon, its not good optics.
