Looks very competitive, the first I've seen in a long time at Santa Anita.  Baffert's horses are all with Yakteen, taking a long look at Mr. Fisk on the outside.

And we get to see Geaux Rocket Ride after his impressive debut last month.....but it's not like Mandella to skip conditions, try two turns for the first time, in a Derby points race.  Also with faster than usual work pattern.  I know he's promising, but I hope they are not rushing this late foal

Not liking anything here. They all are working handily times most derby potentials r breezing.

It's not that I don't think the San Felipe is a good betting race....it clearly is.....but I am at a complete loss.  National Treasure is a late scratch.  Mandella has a fast colt that has never competed against winners, or two turns.  Several were in Beta Bob's stable that are now under Yakteen.  Yakteen has his own colt entered too.  My personal (and quite biased) choice is Mr. Fisk, but I'm probably not betting other than w/p.

Wrong race for Mr. Fisk.   He's more like Country House, he runs out of track in these mile and 9F prep races.
