Place holder for this KY derby prep race at Sunland Park, $500K  with a 50-20-15-10-5 point structure.

I still like Henry Qs race Win on this track.

And the new bumped up purse at $800,000. Not too shabby. Winning points of 50, that's an IN.

$480,000 for winner. N t s.

Henry should be a pretty big favorite here, I think.....but crafty Beta Bob has a colt entered.  Guess he's drawn to the purse, but if owner thinks he has a chance, why not switch trainers and qualify for the Derby with a good showing?

Good catch on Baff trainer of record.

Henry lightly raced. They can buy in to go Preakness and/or Belmont @ $75K or $50 if he runs well. And switch trainer of record.

What's with Reddam coming in the backdoor with Low Expectations.

LE's pps/charts at Santa Anita usually had Reddam's dedicated trainer O'Neill running another horse.

Ditto on Henry Q winning this race.  Hard To Figure and Fort Bragg to fill out the trifecta.

Pretty chalky race though.

It lists the purse at 600K, still quite a nice prize for an underwhelming lot.  Yes, the 50 points will get the winner in UNLESS it's Baffert's Hard To Figure who steals the points (my prediction).  For whatever reason, that specific owner remains loyal to BB over the chance of going to the Derby.  I like him to win, Henry Q for 2nd, and maybe a longshot, One In Vermillion to hit the board 3rd, maybe 2nd.

I don't see any of these going on to do any damage at CD, unless somehow Henry Q repeats his last without Lasix.  Betting against.

BTW, Vermillion is another of the first crop of Army Mule, let's see if he can compete!

I like the same ones as you do.  Though it's a short field and pickin's are slim.   Still high elevation running, so will require some good oxygenated blood to win this.  I really have no idea who to choose for the win.

My take on Low Expectations is Doug O'Neill's brother goes to the 2 yrs old sales and has spotted and scoped babies like I'll Have Another and Nyquist.

Saw this guy and had room left in his budget.

The connects Mr Roddam, Duggie and Mario riding trail on I Don't Get It, and accordingly, pulled off the bench separate jock and trainer. In the event on Derby Day got 2.
