Coolmore announced that the 2000 Kentucky Derby winner has died at the age of 26. He was euthanized Tuesday at Ashford Stud in Versailles, Kentucky, due to the infirmities of old age.
To my eye, probably one of the must stunningly beautiful horses I have ever seen.

I had the opportunity to visit him in 2007 at Ashford. Beautiful horse. Very regal in appearance. Beautifully put together, as well.
We were also taken by Giant's Causeway who we met on the same day. He was being led up a path from the back pasture to the main barn and he was swaggering like a rockstar.
The thing I miss most about living in Lexington - Keeneland and secondarily, all the great horses at the farms.
