This race is the proverbial hen's tooth in NY.   2 miles on the turf.  The Belmont Gold Cup.  Friday. 6/9  R10.

Older horses including the 9 year old Channel Make for Mott.  There are some other interesting entries, as well

Have to wait to see projected prices.  Might be worth handicapping and playing if the prices are acceptable.

Gotta think Appleby has a huge shot here with Siskany

One would think so, yes.  Both Clement and Motion have interesting entries, as well.  Joseph O'Brien brought one over, too.

Need to see some prices and do a little handicapping.  Plenty of time.

I LOVE this kind of race! As always, I give a slight nod to the imports. My first reaction is the $5 Double with all imports over Tapit Trice

The old motto through the years..."Box The Euros"  has worked plenty of times when they decide to cross the pond.

BTW, the link you posted is kaput.  No big deal.

Good luck if you decide to go in.

Number 2 - Siskany is 8/5 on the m/line and looks to be a legitimate betting fav in here with Buick coming over for the ride.

Number 7 - Amazing Grace is 6/1 on the line and bred to run all day on the sire side. Haas a recent race over the track at 1 3/8 miles, running 4th all the way. 3rd race back now, stretching out for Clement.  Consistent sort - 13/16 ITM

Number 13 - Gray Wizard is 10/1 on the line and in Form for Graham Motion, stretching out and stepping up.  I would say he's going to tuck in and run late for a piece.

These appear to be the most logical horses.  How about a 10 dollar cold tri?  2/7/13

I cannot figure out which longshots [and there are plenty] who will upset the apple cart and I don't want to spend any more time on this.  I will be annoyed if Joseph Obrien's High Definition runs well as he has been off for 8 months and has a 2 year losing streak going.  Hoo boy.

Good luck to anyone who decides to go in.

I like your idea of playing a double rather than boxing the euros which will be a too common bet.

That was sovereign's idea but I'll take the credit.  LOL

Steve, solid pics in the 2, 7, 13 for the tri. I'm going in a different direction.

Going with the #6 L'Imperator (E/P4) 15-1 and #12 Cross Border (P1) 12-1. After combing over pp's, they seem to be the only 2 that have run a consistent 2 or 2+ mile races.

Using both in an exacta box. Shot in the dark here!
